20160611-A After spending more than a week at Paul Artspace, I was finally able to spend some time on Saturday afternoon to experiment with a new pinhole camera and 4 x 5 inch photographic paper negatives. After several attempts at composition, subject matter and changing light as clouds passed by, I was able to have this successful photograph while standing for six minutes under a live oak tree.
For these self-portrait photographs, I use a make shift wireless remote shutter made out of parts from an old remote control toy car. The left and right turn controls move an opaque sheet of film attached to the motor, acting as a shutter.
